Ayaneo has officially announced its new Windows-based handheld gaming console, the Next 2. The device, which comes with a Ryzen AI Max series processor, a large OLED screen, and a high-capacity battery, is positioned in the premium segment.

Ayaneo Next 2 Features
The Ayaneo Next 2 is equipped with a 9.06-inch OLED screen offering a 2400 × 1504 resolution. The panel supports refresh rate options of 60 Hz, 120 Hz, 144 Hz, and 165 Hz, while also providing 1155 nits of peak brightness and full DCI-P3 color coverage. On the hardware side, the device will come with Zen 5-based Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and Ryzen AI Max 385 processor options.
The top-tier Ryzen AI Max+ 395 configuration features 16 cores and 32 threads. The processor is accompanied by an RDNA 3.5 architecture-based Radeon 8060S integrated graphics unit with 40 compute units. Additionally, thanks to the XDNA 2 NPU, it offers up to 126 TOPS of AI processing power.
The cooling system is designed with a dual-fan and dual-air outlet structure. Powered by a 116 Wh internal battery, the device aims for long gaming sessions. For comparison, the ROG Xbox Ally X offers an 80Wh battery capacity. For controls, it features TMR analog sticks with adjustable torque, Hall-effect linear triggers, an eight-way D-pad, dual touchpads, and four additional buttons located on the back.
Connectivity options include two USB4 ports supporting 40 Gbps, DisplayPort 1.4 output, a microSD card slot, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.4. The starting price for the Ayaneo Next 2 has been announced as $1,799, with prices for high-end configurations reaching up to $4,299. Pre-orders are expected to open soon via Indiegogo, with deliveries planned to begin in June 2026.
