GoPro, which has carved out a significant niche in the imaging world with its action cameras, is making a very important transition. The company introduced an ambitious new series of 3 cameras to the cinema world yesterday with its GoPro Mission 1 series. The GoPro MISSION 1 PRO ILS is the most notable among them.
GoPro MISSION 1 PRO ILS Features and Price
The GoPro MISSION 1 PRO ILS stands out as the most compact camera offered to the cinema industry. Its new 50MP 1-inch sensor boasts impressive low-light performance and a dynamic range of up to 14 stops. The company's new GP3 processor, with its AI engine, optimizes videos while achieving high efficiency thanks to its 5nm process.
The camera can record 8K 16:9 60fps (2X Slo-Mo) and 4K 16:9 240fps (8X Slo-Mo) video. Additionally, 1080p 16:9 960fps (32X Slo-Mo) video is possible with up to 10 frames of burst shooting, while 1080p 16:9 480fps (16X Slo-Mo) is available without burst shooting. The company states that they have achieved the highest frame rates in the industry. Furthermore, the 8K 30fps and 4K 120fps Open Gate Video format offers flexible editing and output possibilities.
A striking aspect of the camera is its compatibility with the mirrorless Micro Four Thirds (MFT) interchangeable lens and adapter ecosystem. Along with in-sensor HyperSmooth video stabilization, the camera offers users a wide range of options. Advanced 4 microphones minimize wind noise, while Bluetooth 5.3 allows for high-quality, low-latency audio transmission to Hands-Free Profile (HFP) v1.9 with Super Wideband (SWB) compatible devices.
New features include a 14% larger rear OLED viewfinder, longer physical buttons, a new lens offering a 159-degree field of view, water resistance up to 20 meters, a dynamic range of up to 14 stops, and exposure up to 60 frames per second. The GoPro MISSION 1 PRO ILS camera model is expected to be available for sale with a price tag of $700, and no bundles are currently available.
