As Xiaomi prepares to expand its next-generation smartphone series, the Xiaomi 17T model has come to the fore with its performance test results. Having recently introduced the high-end Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra models, the company is now getting ready to launch its T series, which appeals to a broader user base. Information revealed in the Geekbench AI database provides significant clues about the Xiaomi 17T's technical infrastructure. The device, with model number 2602DPT53G, appearing in performance tests indicates that the launch is imminent, and its hardware specifications have largely become clear.
MediaTek Dimensity 8500 and next-generation performance balance
According to Geekbench AI test results, the Xiaomi 17T is powered by a processor developed by MediaTek. Examining the processor architecture, a main core clocked at 3.40 GHz, three performance cores at 3.20 GHz, and four efficiency cores at 2.20 GHz stand out. These technical details suggest that the device will most likely come with the Dimensity 8500 chipset. This processor aims to offer more advanced artificial intelligence capabilities and better power management compared to the previous generation Dimensity 8000 series. In daily use, this difference can be felt as smoother transitions between applications and more balanced battery consumption. On the graphics side, an ARM-based Mali-G720 MC8 GPU is present. This combination suggests that the device can deliver balanced performance in both gaming and AI tasks.
Regarding memory, the device was tested with 12 GB of RAM. Previous information about the device, which will come with Android 16, indicates that it will feature a 6.59-inch flat OLED panel. This screen, stated to offer 1.5K resolution, can provide sharp visuals, especially for multimedia consumption and gaming experiences.
The battery capacity has not yet been officially confirmed, but a battery of approximately 7,000 mAh is expected. When considered with 67W fast charging support, the aim is to prevent high capacity from leading to long charging times.
Finally, on the camera front, the Xiaomi 17T is said to come with a triple rear camera setup. The combination of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel auxiliary sensor, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens appears designed to adapt to various shooting scenarios. A 32-megapixel selfie camera is expected on the front.
