CİRİT Anti-UAV Missile Successfully Destroys Airborne Target

ROKETSAN's CİRİT Anti-UAV missile successfully hit its airborne target with pinpoint accuracy during a test firing conducted via the PUSU Weapon System.

The CİRİT Anti-UAV missile, developed by ROKETSAN, hit its airborne target with pinpoint accuracy during a test firing. As part of the test, the missile was launched via the PUSU Weapon System, demonstrating the system's effectiveness against low-altitude unmanned aerial vehicles.

Anti-UAV Version of the Existing CİRİT Missile

The company's statement highlighted that smart munitions integrated with mobile platforms constitute a significant deterrent against asymmetric threats.

The PUSU-C air defense system used in the test stands out as a mobile solution developed specifically against low-altitude unmanned aerial vehicles. The CİRİT Anti-UAV missile launched from the system successfully tracked and directly hit the airborne target.

ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci also commented on the matter, emphasizing the importance of domestic defense industry systems by stating, "We are strengthening the deterrence of our domestic systems at every altitude of our sky homeland."

The new system was developed by integrating a proximity sensor into the existing CİRİT missile. This enhancement makes the missile more effective, especially against small and agile airborne targets. The primary target audience for the system is low-altitude unmanned aerial vehicles in the DoD Group-2 class. This group includes low-cost UAVs, FPV drones, and loitering munitions.
