Access to Apple's New Siri May Be Limited: Waitlist Claim

Apple is preparing to launch the long-awaited new Siri alongside iOS 27 on Monday. However, Apple may initially offer the revamped Siri as a beta version to a limited number of users.

Apple is preparing to introduce the long-awaited next-generation AI-powered Siri with iOS 27, which will be unveiled on Monday, June 8th. This new Siri, powered by Google's Gemini models, was first announced in June 2024 but had not been released until now due to various delays.

New Siri May Not Be Publicly Available Initially

According to information shared by Bloomberg writer Mark Gurman, Apple will initially offer the revamped Siri as a beta version. Furthermore, users will need to sign up for a waitlist to access this experience. It is not yet clear whether the waitlist will only apply during the iOS 27 beta phase or if it will continue after iOS 27 is generally released in September.

The new Siri is expected to offer a comprehensive chatbot experience similar to Gemini and ChatGPT. The system, which will be integrated across all of Apple's operating systems, will allow users to synchronize their chat histories across devices via iCloud.
