The new product named DJI Power 140W is the company's first GaN charging adapter, and the accompanying cable can display real-time power transfer with its built-in screen.
Chinese DJI, known until now for its drone and gimbal models, is making another surprise move. The company, aiming to expand its product range, is entering the charging adapter segment, which is not entirely unfamiliar territory for them.
DJI Power 140W Features and Price
The charging adapter introduced as DJI Power 140W offers a total power output of 140W, capable of charging 3 devices simultaneously. Each of the two USB Type-C ports can deliver 140W of power, while the single USB Type-A port can go up to 33W.
Maintaining its efficiency during heavy use with GaN technology, the adapter ensures balanced power flow across all ports with its dynamic power distribution system. When a device is unplugged from any port, the system continues power transfer without interruption.
When DJI devices are connected, the adapter prioritizes them and constantly monitors its internal components thanks to a built-in overheating sensor. A notable feature of the adapter is the accompanying cable with a built-in screen. Thanks to the e-Marker smart chip in the 7A cable, real-time power transfer can be observed on this integrated display. The cable supports 240W power transfer and also allows for USB 2.0 data transfer. The DJI Power 140W charging adapter has a price tag of $30.
