According to first weekend figures, Spider-Man: Brand New Day achieved a total North American gross of $355 million, placing it just behind Avengers: Endgame's $357 million. Some data sources believe this figure could reach $360 million, which would make it the best North American opening of all time. The film earned $169 million on its first day, marking the best North American opening day of all time.
Globally, it grossed $927 million, again trailing behind Avengers: Endgame's $1.2 billion. Although fans expressed a greater preference for the Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield Spider-Man series, the current film has surpassed all previous installments at the box office.
This past weekend also saw record-breaking achievements in cinematic history. North American theaters recorded their best week ever with $429 million, while global cinemas broke a record with $6 billion.
