Samsung, which promised to be faster in updating Galaxy devices, has begun rolling out its second major interface update within the same year. The One UI 9.0 update, which recently started for the Galaxy S26 series, won't keep users waiting for long.
One UI 9.0 for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series
According to a statement from Samsung Thailand, the One UI 9.0 update for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series will begin on September 28. The devices slated to receive the update are listed as Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25 Edge, and Galaxy S25 FE.
Furthermore, the One UI 9.0 update will also commence on the same date for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 foldable phones. The Galaxy S23 FE, which will receive its last major update, will transition to this interface in October. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy S26 FE will ship with One UI 9.0 out of the box.
The One UI 9.0 update introduces new features such as My FanCam, which focuses on a selected person within a recorded video, more personalization options for the Quick Panel, customizable cards in Now Brief, multi-monitor support for Samsung DeX, more options in the Game Booster panel, improvements to document scanning, and fraud detection.
