Nvidia has released the Game Ready 616.92 driver for GeForce graphics cards. The new version provides optimizations for new games and updates, including 007 First Light, while also addressing some general issues encountered in previous versions.
Windows flickering issue resolved
The prominent support in driver 616.92 is for the Path Tracing update released for 007 First Light. Nvidia states that the new driver is prepared to offer the best experience in the game. Additionally, there are optimizations for DLSS and RTX technologies for Active Matter, Aniimo, and WARDOGS.
Several important bugs have also been fixed with this driver. The screen flickering issue that could occasionally appear in web browsers while browsing certain websites is corrected with the new version. Furthermore, the problem of virtual screens not being able to be created after upgrading to version 616.56 has also been resolved.
Another issue affecting users of remote desktop connections has been fixed. The black screen problem that could occur in Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) sessions after updating to driver 616.56 is no longer present in the new version.
However, Nvidia also lists some known issues that persist in version 616.92. One of these is the "Prefer Maximum Performance" power management mode not being applied correctly on some systems. It is also noted that the issue of crashing to desktop after prolonged gameplay in Assassin's Creed Shadows continues.
In Judgement, Lost Judgement, and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O., startup issues that arose after 616.56 are also among the known problems in the new version. Therefore, users playing these games should consider the existing issues before installing the driver.
