As ARC Raiders Rises, Battlefield 6 Falls; Significant Decline in Player Count

Battlefield 6, which made an impressive debut, quickly lost its momentum. As genre enthusiasts shifted to ARC Raiders, Battlefield 6's active player count began to drop rapidly.

2025 was the year the balance of power shifted in the rivalry between Battlefield and Call of Duty. While Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 proved to be a major disappointment, Battlefield 6 made a magnificent debut. Launched to gamers in October, Battlefield 6 garnered significant attention, especially in its initial weeks. However, this momentum quickly faded. The rise of ARC Raiders, in particular, caused Battlefield 6 to bleed players significantly. So much so that Battlefield 6 has already lost a large portion of its player base.

Data shared this week shows that Battlefield 6's active player count has decreased by 85 percent compared to its launch period. ARC Raiders, on the other hand, is reaching more and more players. Moreover, according to the same report, ARC Raiders has managed to retain 91 percent of the players it attracted during its launch.

Battlefield 6's concurrent player count, which reached 747,000 during its launch, has now dropped to around 113,000. ARC Raiders, meanwhile, is currently performing close to its launch week's 481,000 concurrent players, reaching approximately 439,000 concurrent players.

Of course, Battlefield 6 has already cemented its place among the best games of 2025. Regardless of what happens next, it must be acknowledged that the Battlefield series achieved success with this game. However, one more thing is clear at this point: the game fell out of favor sooner than expected. Battlefield's misfortune was the emergence of a surprise success story like ARC Raiders.

This situation also explains why studios have recently started focusing on extraction shooter games. ARC Raiders, one of the successful examples of this genre, is currently performing beyond all expectations.
