Hwang Dong-hyuk, who made a name for himself as the creator of Squid Game, is returning with a new series titled The Dealer. The series, which received official approval from Netflix, has had its plot and cast announced.
The Dealer Focuses on a Talented Croupier
Although Hwang Dong-hyuk has now caught Hollywood's attention, he remains within South Korea for this new project. Like Squid Game, The Dealer will be a South Korean production, focusing on a talented croupier working in a large casino. When her wedding plans are suddenly turned upside down, the young woman devises a dangerous plan to set things right, plunging into the world of gambling. For this plan to succeed, she must showcase the talents she has hidden for years.
The lead role in the series is played by Jung So-min. She is joined by Ryoo Seung-bum, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Ryu Kyung-soo in the cast.
The Dealer, which has generated curiosity due to Hwang Dong-hyuk's involvement, will begin filming soon. However, a release date has not yet been determined.
