Skoda is preparing to unveil its new 7-seater large SUV model, the Peaq, which is expected to be its new flagship in the electric vehicle world. The production version of the model, previously hinted at with the "Vision 7S" concept, was caught by spy cameras almost without camouflage during winter tests in Sweden.
The Skoda Peaq will be one of the first models to adopt the brand's new design language, dubbed "Modern Solid". Measuring approximately 5 meters in length, the vehicle stands out with its sharp lines, T-shaped LED lighting, and flush door handles. With an aerodynamic silhouette, the Peaq offers a spacious appearance with its large panoramic roof and sloping roofline.
The rear design features a simple yet elegant tailgate line, a trapezoidal accent, and an integrated spoiler. The prototype's taillights are likely temporary, but we can expect T-shaped lighting clusters consistent with the front. Unfortunately, the new spy photos do not show the interior. However, a spacious living area, a digital instrument cluster, and a large multimedia screen are anticipated.
600 km Range and 200 kW Charging
The 7-seater electric SUV targets large families with its three-row seating configuration. Technically built on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform, the Skoda Peaq is also ambitious with its performance figures. According to sources, the vehicle's 89 kWh capacity battery will allow it to travel over 600 kilometers (WLTP) on a single charge. With 200 kW fast charging support, the battery is expected to reach an 80% charge in just 30 minutes.
Details regarding the new Skoda Peaq's engine options are not yet clear. However, similar to the Enyaq, 282 and 335 horsepower dual-motor, all-wheel-drive versions might be offered. It is also likely that the Peaq's motors will be more modern and efficient. The official name of the Skoda Peaq was recently confirmed, and its introduction is planned for this summer. This giant SUV will be one of the most important links in the brand's electric transformation.
