Following extensive policy changes on the Play Store, Google is now working on a new feature focused on user experience. With the latest update to the platform, it is now possible to search within reviews on app and game pages.
Search in Comments Arrives
With the new feature, users can filter for specific keywords via the search bar located at the top when they enter an app's review section. This eliminates the need to manually sift through hundreds of reviews to understand if a particular feature works or how the app performs in certain scenarios.
This innovation had been under testing since November. With the latest Play Store update, it has gradually started rolling out to all users. However, due to Google's phased software distribution process, it may take several days or even weeks for the feature to reach all devices.
There are some limitations regarding the feature's usage. The search function requires at least two words to be entered, and results are listed based only on exact matches. Furthermore, instant results are not provided while typing. However, it may be expanded with more advanced search capabilities in the future.
