Samsung's new mid-range model, the Galaxy A27, has had its render images revealed. The leaked images indicate that the device will come with a more modern design compared to its predecessor.
Farewell to the Notch Design
With the new model, Samsung is abandoning the notch design used in the Galaxy A2X series and transitioning to a punch-hole front camera design. Additionally, the thick bottom bezel has been slimmed down, achieving a more modern look. The triple-camera setup is retained on the rear.
According to leaked information, the Galaxy A27's screen size will be 6.7 inches, similar to the Galaxy A26. Furthermore, the new phone is said to measure 162.3 x 78.6 x 7.9 mm. This means the device will be slightly shorter, but a bit wider and thicker than the current model.
According to earlier information from Geekbench, the Galaxy A27 will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. This chipset was previously used in last year's Galaxy A36 model. The current Galaxy A26 model uses the Exynos 1380 chipset. The two processors have similar performance values.
Another leak regarding the Galaxy A27 suggests the device will come with a new front camera. The 13 MP camera in the Galaxy A26 will be replaced by a larger 12 MP sensor. This is expected to improve photo and video quality.
