Adobe Premiere is Finally Coming to Android: Google Gives a Date

Adobe's popular video editing application, Premiere, is finally coming to the Android platform after a long wait. The company had confirmed last year that the Android version of the app was under development, but no details regarding its release date were shared. The new announcement came from Google.

Adobe Premiere is Finally Coming to Android

Google announced that the Adobe Premiere app will be coming to Android "soon" while introducing new native tools developed for content creators with Android 17. Although the initial press release stated that the app would be launched "this summer," this phrase was later removed. Nevertheless, Premiere's Android release has been confirmed to be imminent.

According to Google's statement, the Android version will also include special features focused on YouTube Shorts. Users will be able to access exclusive templates and effects within the app and directly share their created Shorts videos. For those who missed it, the mobile version of Adobe Premiere was first released for iPhone. Later, additional features like YouTube Shorts integration were added to the app. However, the app has remained exclusively on the iOS platform until now.

On the Android side, Adobe's Premiere Rush app was used for a while before its support was discontinued. Therefore, Premiere's arrival on Android will be a significant development, especially for mobile content creators. Furthermore, the Android version is also expected to come with AI tools.
