Apple Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4 Will Not Come with a New Design
If you're expecting a design change in the new Apple Watches, this is highly unlikely. Recent rumors claimed that the upcoming Apple Watch Series 12 would not include any hardware improvements over its predecessor. Now, supporting these reports, Bloomberg states that neither the Apple Watch 12 nor the Apple Watch Ultra 4 will feature a noticeable design improvement.
The new Apple Watches will focus on delivering a significant performance boost through a new processor. Health and fitness tracking improvements might also be present, but as previous reports claimed there would be no new sensors, this could be a software update.
The codenames for the new series are N237 and N238 for the Wi-Fi and cellular versions of the Apple Watch Series 12, while the Apple Watch Ultra 4's codename is N240. All three models are reportedly in their final testing phases.
Affordable Apple Watch SE 4 Not Expected
According to claims, these are the only three models to be released in September 2026, and it is specifically stated that a new Apple Watch SE model will not be launched during this period.
It is also claimed that the 2026 Apple Watch models will feature a new strap attachment system. While the new report does not foresee a noticeable change in the Apple Watch Ultra, a rumor from May 2026 suggested that there could be a significant update. Supply chain sources had claimed that the Apple Watch Ultra 4 would double the number of sensors compared to previous models.
