Chinese automotive giant Chery has officially launched its new all-electric compact SUV model, the Fulwin T7. Targeting China's highly competitive affordable budget market, the new model stands out with three different trim options, a high standard range, and an aggressive pricing strategy.
The official list prices for the Fulwin T7 start from 97,900 yuan (approximately $14,430), dropping to around $14,000 with Chery's special launch trade-in and early delivery discounts.
Standard 600 km Range and Powerful Performance
Positioned as a direct competitor to best-selling models in its class, such as the BYD Yuan Plus (Atto 3), the Chery Fulwin T7 raises the bar in the compact SUV segment with its dimensions and technical specifications. The model measures 4,570 mm in length, 1,852 mm in width, 1,694 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. Its drag coefficient is 0.286 Cd.
All versions are powered by a single electric motor producing 178 kW (239 HP) of power and 275 Nm of torque. The vehicle can reach a maximum speed of 180 km/h. The 65 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery, offered as standard across all packages, promises a 600 km range according to CLTC standards.
The battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in 20 minutes, and the vehicle supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) power output of up to 6.6 kW.
AI Support and Advanced Driving Assistance Systems
The Fulwin T7 also exceeds segment standards with its in-cabin technologies. The driver is presented with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a central 15.6-inch 2.5K resolution multimedia screen. The system operates on the "Doubao" large language model developed by ByteDance and the Lingxi Smart Cockpit 2.0 AI infrastructure.
Entry-level packages feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, while the top trim level includes the advanced Qualcomm 8775 chip, which integrates cockpit and driving functions with 5G connectivity.
The Falcon 500 driving assistance system, available in the top model, is supported by a total of 22 sensors, including 3 millimeter-wave radars, 7 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars. This system offers highway pilot functionality and automatic parking in over 300 different scenarios.
For driver and passenger safety, 80% high-strength steel is used in the vehicle body, and the cabin is equipped with 9 airbags. This model will also be sold in Europe under the name Lepas L6, but its price has not yet been announced.
