Tecno has taken another step closer to the long-sought goal of a completely bezel-less screen design in smartphones. The company unveiled its new concept device, named the Next-Gen Borderless Concept Phone, showcasing its 0mm display bezel design for the first time.
According to Tecno's official statement, the concept phone will be exhibited at the IFA 2026 fair in Berlin in September 2026. The company states that the device's screen offers a truly edge-to-edge viewing experience with almost no visible bezels around the display.

Tecno explained that it achieved this design through advanced internal component placement, new display packaging techniques, and engineering changes in the device's structural design. However, the company has not yet shared technical details regarding the technologies used. Therefore, details on how the 0mm bezel technology works are expected to be revealed at the IFA 2026 event.
In the visuals shared by the company, the concept phone is shown side-by-side with the iPhone 17 Pro. The comparison images reveal that the Tecno concept device has significantly thinner display bezels. Nevertheless, the device does not offer a completely uninterrupted front surface. The hole-punch design for the front camera is retained.
In its statement, Tecno also implied that the 0mm display bezel technology is not merely a concept. The company signaled that the developed technology could be transferred to commercial smartphone models in the future. The device's technical specifications, screen size, processor, or release date have not yet been announced. New information on these aspects is expected to be shared within the scope of IFA 2026.
