Samsung is Testing One UI 9.5 with Galaxy S27 Ultra

Samsung is Testing One UI 9.5 with Galaxy S27 Ultra

The Galaxy S26 series was launched with One UI 8.5. The Galaxy S27 series is expected to continue this trend. The new Galaxy S series, set to be released in 2027, will come with One UI 9.5. Samsung has already started testing the One UI 9.5 software on the Galaxy S27 Ultra model.

One UI 9.5 software appeared on Samsung servers

The first Samsung devices to run One UI 9.0 out of the box, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, will soon be available in tech stores. Meanwhile, the One UI 9.5 software has appeared on Samsung's servers.

Belongs to the US model of Galaxy S27 Ultra

The software (build number S958USQU0AZH3) is believed to belong to the US model of the Galaxy S27 Ultra. Samsung is thought to have started development work on One UI 9.5 in May of this year, but this is the first actual software release we've seen on Samsung's servers.

The first One UI 8.5 release for the Galaxy S26 series was detected on July 25 last year, so development work for the next One UI version appears to be progressing according to the normal schedule. This timeline was accelerated last year with One UI 8 and One UI 8.5. Samsung has started releasing major One UI updates earlier to align with Google's faster Android release cycle, which began with Android 16.

One UI 9 beta is ongoing

However, this does not mean that One UI 9.5 will soon be open for public beta testing. Samsung has not yet released the stable One UI 9.0 update for devices older than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8. In fact, the One UI 9 beta program is currently only open to the Galaxy S26 series.

One UI 9.5 will arrive with new devices in 2027

Samsung launched the One UI 8.5 beta program in December last year. The One UI 9.5 beta program is expected to start around the same time this year. The stable version will officially launch in 2027 with the Galaxy S27 series.
