Samsung is preparing to launch two new Galaxy A series phones in the coming weeks. The design, features, and price of the Galaxy A08 model, which is likely to be sold in Turkey, have been revealed.
Samsung will soon add two new models to its budget-friendly smartphone lineup: Galaxy A08 and Galaxy A18. Before the launch, the successor to the Galaxy A07 appeared on one of the manufacturer's official websites, revealing its technical specifications. The A08 comes with impressive features for its price, such as a 6,000 mAh battery, a headphone jack, up to 2 TB microSD card support, LPDDR5X memory, and a 50 MP camera.
What are the Samsung Galaxy A08's features?
The new Samsung Galaxy A08 comes with a 6.7-inch PLS LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels. On the back of the phone, there is a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP secondary camera. For selfies and video calls, an 8 MP front camera is used.
Although the exact name of the processor used has not been specified, Samsung states that the phone utilizes the LPDDR5X RAM standard. Furthermore, the device will be offered with 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB storage options and will support microSD cards up to 2 TB.
The Galaxy A08 is equipped with a higher-capacity 6,000 mAh battery, compared to its predecessor's 5,000 mAh. In terms of connectivity, the A08 offers 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.3 support. Other notable features include a 3.5 mm headphone jack and IP64 certification, providing resistance against dust and water splashes. The phone, which is 8 mm thick and weighs 197 grams, comes in three different color options: green, dark blue, and silver.
Samsung states that the Galaxy A08 will receive 6 major operating system updates and 6 years of security updates.
The international price of the Samsung Galaxy A08 will be around $170. Since the Galaxy A07 5G model is currently on sale in Turkey for 14,499 TL on Samsung's online store, the new model is also expected to be available in Turkey, but it is difficult to predict its price. The prices of two of the series' most popular models, the Galaxy A57 and A37, had recently increased.
