South Korean accessory manufacturer Spigen made a move that will take Apple enthusiasts on a journey through time. To celebrate Apple's upcoming 50th anniversary, the company announced its new case series called "Classic LS," featuring the design lines of the legendary Macintosh 128K computer.
It should be noted that these cases are specially designed for iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max users. The Classic LS comes in the characteristic gray color tone Apple used in the 1980s. The all-plastic case successfully integrates the industrial design language of the Macintosh from that era into today's most modern phone.
Despite its retro appearance, the cases do not compromise on modern iPhone features, offering MagSafe support. They also provide a special access area for the iPhone 17 series' new Camera Control button. Users who wish can also combine the case with the DA30S-LS model wrist strap.
Embracing Bulkiness for Nostalgia!
However, this nostalgic design also has some drawbacks. By mimicking the Macintosh's angular structure of that era, the case eliminates the iPhone's modern curved lines. It makes the device both wider and longer. Furthermore, it has a considerably heavier build compared to standard cases. Therefore, those who opt for this case will have to accept a somewhat bulky usage for the sake of nostalgia.
This special accessory, a tribute to Apple's history, was made available for sale on Amazon with a price tag of 40 dollars.
