MSI Unveils New QD-OLED Monitors with Tandem OLED Technology

Ahead of CES 2026, MSI officially announced two new 32-inch 4K QD-OLED gaming monitors. The models, named MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24 and MAG 321UP QD-OLED X24, both feature a 5-layer Tandem OLED architecture.

What does the MSI QD-OLED X24 series offer?

For those unfamiliar, QD-OLED technology combines quantum dots with OLED panels to offer a wider color gamut and high color accuracy. The MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24 and MAG 321UP QD-OLED X24 utilize a 5-layer 4K Tandem OLED panel structure, supported by EL Gen 3 technology to extend panel lifespan.

This design aims to provide higher brightness compared to single-layer OLED panels while reducing stress on pixels by distributing the electrical load over a wider area. MSI emphasizes that this approach extends the panel's lifespan.

Another notable common feature of the new models is the DarkArmor Film technology. This special coating eliminates the purple and reddish reflections visible on QD-OLED panels under ambient light. It also provides up to a 40% improvement in black levels, while increasing screen surface hardness from 2H to 3H, offering 2.5 times more scratch resistance in daily use.

The main difference between the two models is the AI Care Sensor system found in the MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24. This NPU-based sensor detects whether the monitor is in use through real-time human detection algorithms. When no user is detected, power settings are automatically adjusted, and panel protection measures are activated. This approach aims to reduce the risk of OLED burn-in without interrupting the gaming experience.

The MAG 321UP QD-OLED X24 will be offered as a more streamlined model. Although it features the same panel technology and DarkArmor Film coating, it does not include the AI Care Sensor feature. MSI has not yet shared details regarding the pricing and exact release dates of the new monitors. Both models are planned to be launched within 2026. Technical details such as refresh rate, response time, and connectivity options will be shared very soon.
