Furthermore, the Nvidia CEO describes this notion as "the rhetoric of doomsayers."
Highlighting the development of artificial intelligence in the last few years, Huang also shared that the sector has passed significant thresholds. He states that advancements in areas such as reasoning, context understanding, information verification, and research have made artificial intelligence more functional and predictable. According to him, this picture points not to disaster scenarios, but to the maturation process of technology.
Huang explains his approach to artificial intelligence safety with an automotive analogy. The Nvidia CEO states that for a product to be considered safe, it must first perform its promised function correctly, and argues that the same principle applies to artificial intelligence. He reminds that systems do not possess concepts like intent, will, or consciousness; they merely apply the data they have learned.
Moreover, Huang, who maintains a distance from calls for regulation, pointed to the progress AI has made in two years, emphasizing that it should not be stopped, but rather developed more responsibly and widely.
