The Ministry of Trade announced Turkey's 2025 export data for medium-high and high-tech products. A 10% growth was achieved thanks to projects implemented for technology-focused industrial transformation.
In 2025, exports of medium-high and high-tech products increased by 10.8% compared to 2024, reaching 112 billion dollars. The share of these products in total manufacturing industry exports reached 43.5%.
What are Medium-High and High-Tech Products?
According to international classifications, products in the medium-high and high-tech groups consist of areas requiring advanced engineering, intensive R&D, and extensive knowledge. Medium-high tech products include automotive main and sub-industry products, machinery and equipment, electrical equipment, chemical and petrochemical products, and rail system technologies.
High-tech products encompass defense and aerospace systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, satellite and space technologies, semiconductors, electronic components, medical devices, biotechnology products, and advanced software solutions. The increase in medium-high and high-tech production not only boosts export revenues but also contributes to reducing the current account deficit, increasing qualified employment, and enhancing industrial productivity.

A statement from the Ministry of Trade emphasized that programs implemented within Turkey's technology-focused industrial transformation played a significant role in this increase. It was stated that the country's share of both medium-high and high technology will significantly increase in the coming period, thanks to the progress of programs such as the Technology-Oriented Industrial Move (HAMLE) Program, Investment Committed Advance Loans (YTAK) provided by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), the HIT-30 High-Tech Investment Program, and the major breakthroughs achieved in our defense industry.
The statement also noted the continuation of support for design, branding, Turquality, and International Competitiveness Development (Ur-Ge) projects, aimed at strengthening R&D and innovation-based production and increasing value-added exports.
It was also stated that the Global Supply Chain Competence Project Support (KTZ), Green Deal Compliance Project Support (Responsible), fair and market entry supports, and e-export applications offer new opportunities to all exporters, especially SMEs.
