Google continues to make Chrome more useful and intuitive. The company has added three new features to the browser, enabling users to work faster and more organized.
Google has announced a new set of productivity-focused improvements for its Chrome browser. The company states that the new additions aim to help everyday and enterprise users manage tabs more efficiently and complete tasks faster. The update adds **Split View** for side-by-side tab viewing, PDF annotation tools in the built-in viewer, and a direct "Save to Google Drive" option for PDF files.
Split Screen
The first new feature is the **split screen** capability, which will allow you to view two tabs simultaneously. If you frequently switch between tabs, this feature will help make your work a bit easier. While other browsers have already implemented this feature, it's good to see it finally come to Chrome.
PDF Annotations
The second new feature is for PDF documents. Chrome's **PDF viewer now has an annotation tool**. Previously, you had to download the PDF file and open a separate application to make changes. Now, you can mark up documents, take notes, and add your signature directly within the browser.
Save to Google Drive
The last feature added to the browser in this update is called **"Save to Google Drive"**. Previously, if you wanted to save a file to Google Drive, you had to first download it and then upload it to Drive. With the "Save to Google Drive" option, you can now save the file directly to Drive, eliminating the intermediary step. To access the "Save to Google Drive" feature, simply click the Google Drive icon in the PDF viewer.
These three features will begin rolling out to all users with the **Chrome 145 update**.
