Xiaomi's 1,000 HP Electric SUV YU7 GT Revealed: What Will It Offer?

Xiaomi's 1,000 HP Electric SUV YU7 GT Revealed: What Will It Offer?

Xiaomi is preparing to launch the YU7 GT, a performance version of its electric YU7 SUV with 1,000 horsepower. The car, which will be one of the fastest electric SUVs ever produced, boasts a maximum speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).

What will the Xiaomi YU7 GT offer?

The YU7 GT, which appeared in the regulatory catalog of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), features a dual-motor powertrain. With a 288 kW (386 hp) motor at the front and a 450 kW (603 hp) motor at the rear, it can reach a total output of 738 kW (990 horsepower).

For comparison, the standard YU7 Max model produces 508 kW (681 hp) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.23 seconds. With the YU7 GT's additional 230 kW of power, this time is expected to approach 2 seconds. Its top speed of 300 km/h places it in a very special position among production SUVs.

The Xiaomi YU7 GT will feature the following:

  • Wide body kit: 16 mm longer and 11 mm wider than the standard YU7
  • Dimensions: 5,015 mm × 2,007 mm × 1,597 mm (3,000 mm wheelbase)
  • 21-inch staggered wheels: 265/40R21 at the front, 295/35R21 at the rear
  • Red brake calipers (likely carbon-ceramic brakes)
  • Large rear diffuser and prominent "GT" logo
  • All-black exterior design
  • CATL-produced ternary lithium battery (capacity not yet announced)

According to market estimates, the YU7 GT's price will range between 450,000 – 500,000 yuan (approximately $60,000 – $70,000). This positions it below the 1,526 hp triple-motor SU7 Ultra sedan (starting from 500,000 yuan). Xiaomi has not yet announced whether an "Ultra" version for the YU7 will be released.

The standard YU7 model has achieved quite successful sales figures in China. The company delivered 39,089 units in December alone, and a total of 153,673 units throughout 2025.
