Subaru's 7-Seater Electric SUV Move

Subaru's 7-Seater Electric SUV Move

Subaru has officially unveiled its fourth electric model, the Subaru Getaway. The three-row SUV is set to go on sale at the end of the year. Subaru is targeting a range of approximately 500 km with this model.

Subaru Getaway Features

The Getaway comes with a dual-motor system, with one electric motor on each axle. The model produces a total of 420 horsepower and completes 0-100 km/h acceleration in under 5 seconds. It offers a towing capacity of nearly 1.6 tons.

500 km Range and Fast Charging

The Subaru Getaway will initially be available in a long-range version. This model features a 95.8 kWh battery and 150 kW DC fast charging support. This allows the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes.

Developed in Collaboration with Toyota

Subaru collaborated with Toyota on this model. The battery and DC fast charging power already indicate that it shares the same infrastructure as the new Highlander. Despite this, the Getaway differentiates itself from the Highlander by offering more power.

Subaru's Touch in Design

While the model naturally shares a similar design language with the Highlander due to the collaboration, Subaru-specific details are noticeable at the front and rear. These details include an illuminated logo, characteristic headlight design, and an illuminated Subaru script at the rear. 19 and 20-inch wheel options, along with roof rails, are offered as standard.

Technology and Comfort Combined

The cabin offers a modern and spacious living area. Among the technological features are a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch multimedia screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 15W wireless charging unit. The Getaway provides 7-person seating capacity, enhancing comfort with details such as three-zone climate control, USB-C ports in every row, and ventilation for rear passengers.

The Subaru Getaway is planned to go on sale at the end of 2026. The price is expected to be positioned above $40,000.
