BMC's New Generation Light Vehicle PAMİR 4x4 Ready for Delivery

BMC's new light cargo and personnel transport vehicle, PAMİR 4x4, has been unveiled. The vehicle, which is ready for delivery, stands out with its 120 km/h speed, 600 km range, and challenging off-road capabilities.

BMC, one of the leading land vehicle manufacturers in the Turkish defense industry, introduced its PAMİR 4x4 Cargo and Personnel Transport Vehicle, developed to meet the new field needs of security forces, to the public for the first time. The vehicle, showcased at the SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace and Space Industry Fair, has completed its testing processes and reached the delivery stage.

Fuat Tosyalı, Chairman of the Board of BMC, stated that the PAMİR 4x4 was developed specifically for missions requiring rapid mobility in the field. Tosyalı noted that with Turkey's evolving security concept, there is a need for lighter, more economical, and agile land vehicles, adding that the new platform offers a versatile solution for both personnel and cargo transport.

120 Kilometers Per Hour Speed and 600 Kilometers Range

Tosyalı emphasized that the vehicle is not just a demonstration model, but has completed all testing processes and is ready for delivery. He stated that the vehicle, which has been used in trial activities by Turkish security forces for a long time, is now also offered to international customers, adding that PAMİR was developed to operate in various geographical conditions.

The PAMİR 4x4 also stands out with its technical specifications. The vehicle can reach a maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour and offers an operational range of 600 kilometers. These features aim for effective use in long-term field missions.

The vehicle can carry 4 personnel inside the cabin and has a total transport capacity of 10 people, including the rear cargo area. This platform, capable of simultaneously transporting light cargo and personnel, was developed with a multi-purpose usage approach.

In terms of off-road performance, the PAMİR 4x4 offers highly impressive values. The vehicle can ascend and descend 60% gradient terrains. Its ability to restart after stopping on the same incline is also among the platform's prominent features. Additionally, the vehicle can safely traverse 30% side-sloping terrains and can tow a trailer in areas with a 30% incline.

BMC announced that the qualification process for the PAMİR 4x4 within the Turkish Land Forces Command is also ongoing.

Production Complex Operating at Full Capacity

In his statements, Fuat Tosyalı also shared the latest status of BMC's tank and armored vehicle production facility in Ankara. Tosyalı stated that a large part of the complex has now reached a 24/7 production capacity.

Tosyalı stated that the production and delivery processes of main battle tanks are continuing as planned at the facility, and that the production of 8x8 armored personnel carriers has also begun. Furthermore, the modernization efforts for Leopard tanks in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces are also being carried out at the same center.

BATU Engine Passes NATO Tests

Referring to domestic engine projects in the defense industry, Tosyalı announced that the 1500 horsepower BATU engine successfully completed NATO tests. He stated that it received NATO approval by the end of the year, adding that the testing processes were carried out under very severe conditions.

Tosyalı mentioned that the power group development work for the engine, which has entered the mass production phase, is progressing according to the planned schedule. He noted that the first tanks were delivered with existing power groups, but preparations are underway for the integration of domestic systems.

Tosyalı stated that the use of domestic engines is increasing in BMC's other land vehicles, and that production continues in different power classes.
