While Peter Parker is the first character that comes to mind when thinking of Spider-Man, in recent years, Miles Morales has also become quite popular thanks to animated films and video games. Morales, the main protagonist of Sony's Spider-Verse animated films, could appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the future.
Spider-Verse Series Expected to Conclude
When asked whether they would introduce Miles Morales into the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Peter Parker, Marvel President Kevin Feige gave a clearer answer than expected. Feige stated that we would likely see Miles Morales in a live-action film, but only after the Spider-Verse series concludes.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spiderverse, which has been delayed several times, is set to be released on June 18, 2027, and is currently planned as the film that will complete this trilogy. Of course, if the film is very successful, plans could change, but as of today, the Spider-Verse series appears to be ending in the summer of 2027. This means Miles Morales could join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the near future.
It is known that Tom Holland, who portrays Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is gradually looking to step away from the role. For this reason, Marvel might choose to continue its journey with Miles Morales instead of signing a different actor for Peter Parker.
