Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is Coming Globally: First Official Sign Received

The countdown continues for Xiaomi's new flagship Xiaomi 18 series. The phones, expected to be introduced in China next September, might launch earlier than expected this time. A new certification seen in the European Economic Commission (EEC) database revealed that preparations for the global launch of the Xiaomi 18 and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max models have begun.

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is Coming to the Global Market

Two new Xiaomi devices with model numbers 2609BPN61G and 2611FPNFAG were listed in the EEC database. These models had previously appeared in the IMEI database. According to leaks, model number 2611FPNFAG belongs to the standard Xiaomi 18, while 2609BPN61G belongs to the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. On the other hand, it is claimed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro model might remain exclusive to the Chinese market.

In previous years, Xiaomi introduced its flagship phones in China in September, followed by a global launch in the first quarter of the subsequent year. However, the latest certifications indicate that this timeline might change, and global models could be introduced to international markets much sooner.

The leaks are not limited to this. According to reliable sources, the Xiaomi 18 Ultra model, expected to be the successor to the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, might have been canceled. Instead, the company is rumored to introduce the Xiaomi 18 Fold model, featuring a large-screen design similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 8, in China in August. However, the foldable model is not expected to be released globally.

Xiaomi Pad 8s Pro's Specifications Also Revealed

The same leak also confirmed the technical specifications of the Xiaomi Pad 8s Pro. The tablet is stated to feature a 12.5-inch 3.2K resolution LCD screen, Xiaomi's self-developed Xring O3 processor, and a 12,000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. On the camera front, it will have a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 32 MP front camera, a 50 MP main sensor, and a 2 MP auxiliary sensor.
