Apple today released iOS 26.7, an update for the existing iOS 26 software, alongside iOS 27. Users checking for new software will see iOS 26.7 as the default update, while iOS 27 is listed as an option at the bottom of the Software Update screen.
iOS 26.7 Released as a Security Update
This update focuses on bug fixes and security improvements rather than new features, making it particularly important for iPhone owners who prefer to remain on iOS 26 for now.
iOS 27 supports iPhone 11 and newer models. A large portion of current iPhone models will receive this update. However, since Apple Intelligence and Siri AI require newer hardware, not every supported device will receive all features. Users who wish to stay on iOS 26 can install the iOS 26.7 update by opening Settings, selecting General, and then Software Update.
