Apple Completely Revamps the Health App with iOS 26.4

Apple Completely Revamps the Health App with iOS 26.4

Apple is working on a redesigned interface for its Health app, along with new features that could be available in the coming months. The update is expected to arrive with iOS 26.4 and includes simpler record-keeping, food tracking, guided health content, and AI-powered assistance aimed at helping users better understand their health data.

New Design

Apple will introduce a revamped version of the Health app with the iOS 26.4 update. The update is expected to bring several significant changes, including a reorganized category layout and an easier way to record health metrics. The new design of the Health app will enter beta testing in February, then become generally available with iOS 26.4.

Food Tracking

The new Health app introduces a food tracking feature to help users track calories and lose weight. Food tracking will be a major part of the revamped app. The current Health app allows you to enter data for things like carbohydrates and caffeine. With the arrival of food tracking, there will be no need to install weight management apps like MyFitnessPal or Noom.

Guided Videos (Health+)

Apple is also reportedly working on a new video-based health service conceptually similar to Apple Fitness+. Although its final name has not yet been confirmed, the service is said to include educational videos presented by medical professionals.

Apple plans to work with sleep specialists, nutritionists, mental health experts, physiotherapists, and cardiologists to produce short guided videos. The Health app will recommend specific videos when it detects negative trends in a user's data. As an important note, Apple Fitness+ is not available in Turkey, and there is no official statement regarding its future availability.

Artificial Intelligence Assistant

In addition to food tracking and health videos, Apple is also working on an AI-powered health representative. This won't be revolutionary, as ChatGPT recently launched its Apple Health integration. However, it is under development and will likely be part of the Apple Health+ service.

Apple's AI assistant will gather all Apple Health data from the user's paired devices and provide health recommendations based on what it learns. It will also be able to offer nutritional advice to the user.

Apple is also known to be testing a feature that analyzes exercises in real-time using the iPhone's rear camera and provides feedback on correct form. This feature could also be integrated with other Apple services, including Apple Fitness+.

Coming with the iOS 26.4 Update

iOS 26.4 will bring significant innovations to the Health app with its new design, AI assistant, food tracking, and guided videos. iOS 26.4 is also reported to be one of the most important updates among the iOS 26 versions. The update is likely to introduce a revamped Siri powered by a more capable AI system.
