Chery's iCar (iCaur in international markets) brand's V27 SUV model has rolled off the production line in China. The V27, which opened for pre-orders in December 2025, is not only the largest model in the iCar product range but also the brand's first range-extended electric vehicle (EREV). The official launch of the model is planned for the first quarter of this year. The iCar V27 will be available in rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions.
What Does the iCar V27 Offer in Terms of Features❓
In terms of design, the V27 maintains classic off-road SUV lines. Its angular, boxy body structure, round headlights, traditional door handles, black plastic fender flares, vertically positioned taillights, side-opening tailgate, and integrated spare tire emphasize the model's off-road character. The iCar V27 also stands out with its dimensions: 4,909 mm in length, 1,976 mm in width, 1,855 mm in height, and a 2,910 mm wheelbase.
The V27's range extender system consists of a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and electric motors. The system is paired with 20.6 kWh and 34 kWh battery packs. The maximum power of the gasoline engine was announced as 141 horsepower. The total power varies depending on whether it's the rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive version.
The rear-wheel drive version produces 248 horsepower, while the four-wheel drive version's total power reaches 449 horsepower. The more powerful option can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. According to CLTC standards, the model has a pure electric range of 210 km and a total range of 1,200 km. Details regarding the range of the rear-wheel drive version have not yet been shared.
In terms of driving assistance systems, the iCar V27 is equipped with Chery's Falcon 700 system. Powered by a Horizon Robotics Journey J6P processor, this system boasts 560 TOPS of computing power. A total of 27 sensors placed around the vehicle support advanced driving assistance functions.
The interior features a 15.4-inch central multimedia screen with 2.5K resolution. The system is supported by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P processor. The cockpit also includes a digital instrument cluster, rectangular air vents, and physical control buttons located below the multimedia screen. The equipment list also includes comfort-oriented features such as a panoramic glass roof, electrically adjustable front seats, along with seat heating and ventilation.
