Xiaomi has surpassed a significant milestone in the electric vehicle market. The company delivered its 600,000th vehicle just 22 months after its first delivery, strengthening its claim in global competition.
Xiaomi’s electric vehicle unit has reached a significant milestone, delivering its 600,000th vehicle just 22 months after its first delivery. Following this achievement, which began with the first deliveries on April 3, 2024, the company also announced its 2026 target.
Despite being a young electric vehicle manufacturer, rapidly growing Xiaomi has strengthened its position in the global EV market with this performance. The brand entered the sector with its SU7 model and quickly expanded its product range. On February 27, 2025, the high-performance electric sedan SU7 Ultra, developed based on the SU7, was introduced. On June 26, 2025, the YU7 SUV, positioned as a rival to the Tesla Model Y, was launched for sale.
Sales Performance Rose Rapidly
Xiaomi delivered 139,471 vehicles in 2024, increasing its deliveries to 411,837 units in 2025. While the SU7 initially accounted for the majority of deliveries, the YU7 became the brand's best-selling model with increased production capacity.
2026 Target: 550,000 Deliveries
Lei Jun, the company's founder, chairman, and CEO, announced that Xiaomi aims to deliver 550,000 vehicles in 2026.
In line with this target, Xiaomi is preparing to update its SU7 model. While production of the first-generation SU7 ended earlier this week, pre-orders for the refreshed model began on January 7. The official launch of the updated SU7 is planned for April.
