A new era has begun for users exceeding the daily individual return limit of 200 items in the Deposit Return System (DOA). Bulk packaging returns have started at Counting and Verification Centers.
The Deposit Return System, DOA, which began in Turkey on July 1st, has entered a new phase. Counting and Verification Centers have been activated for packaging returns exceeding 200 items daily. The aim is to simplify the return process, especially for restaurants, cafes, and users who accumulate large quantities of packaging.
Deposit Incentive for Bulk Returns Set at 0.50 TL
There will be no changes to the existing deposit return system. Citizens will continue to receive a 1 TL incentive per bottle by returning up to 200 DOA-logoed packages daily using Deposit Return Machines. Those wishing to earn from more than 200 packages per day can do so through the Counting and Verification Centers, but the deposit incentive amount will be 0.50 TL per package in this case.
The new system is expected to facilitate high-volume packaging returns, especially from mass consumption points such as restaurants, cafes, hotels, and canteens. This will allow users with a large number of packages to complete their returns in a single, easier transaction without being subject to daily return limits.
Citizens can access the location information of the Counting and Verification Centers using the DOA mobile application. Currently, there are 41 such centers across Turkey, with plans to increase this number.
