iPhone 20 screen details emerge: The standard is breaking

Another striking claim has surfaced regarding Apple's new flagship model, prepared specifically for the iPhone series' 20th anniversary. According to the latest leak, the company is testing a new screen of approximately 7 inches for the iPhone 20 Pro Max. Earlier information suggested that the series would come with significant changes in design and hardware.

Screen standard is breaking

According to Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station, Apple is working on a 6.96-inch screen for the iPhone 20 Pro Max. While this value is only 0.06 inches larger than the 6.9-inch panel on the current iPhone 17 Pro Max, it indicates that the screen will be very close to the 7-inch threshold. The rumor suggests that Apple will maintain the same aspect ratio despite increasing the screen size.

This would keep the device's ergonomics similar to the current Pro Max model. Previous leaks indicate that Apple is planning a comprehensive design change for its 20th-anniversary iPhones. Accordingly, the iPhone 20 Pro and iPhone 20 Pro Max models will feature a quad-curved screen design where the bezels are almost entirely eliminated.

Similar to the iPhone X era

Furthermore, there are talks that physical buttons might be replaced by solid-state buttons. This system aims for a more durable structure by offering haptic feedback instead of mechanical movement. Other information in the leaks suggests that under-display Face ID technology could be used for the first time in this series. It is also stated that Apple will extend its Ceramic Shield protection to cover the device's side frames.

A significant upgrade is also expected on the battery front. According to claims, the iPhone 20 Pro series could come with a battery capacity of up to 6,000 mAh. Additionally, Apple's long-awaited reverse wireless charging feature might also be offered in the 20th-anniversary models, according to leaks.
