Huawei Watch D3's Health-Focused Design Renewed
The Watch D3 will be the new member of Huawei's Watch D family, which, unlike the sporty Watch and Watch GT series, focuses directly on health tracking. The core feature of the series relies on an inflatable cuff system that can measure blood pressure from the wrist when used under correct conditions. The released images show that Huawei aims for the device to feel less bulky in daily use while preserving this mechanism. New color options also indicate that design changes are not limited to physical dimensions.
The design of the current Watch D2 distinguishes it from other smartwatches due to the special structure required by its blood pressure measurement hardware. The 26.5 mm wide inflatable airbag cuff located on the strap applies pressure to the wrist during measurement, enabling blood pressure monitoring, and the device also supports planned 24-hour tracking.
