Lexus has given its compact SUV model, the NX, one of its most important assets in the global market, a facelift. Five years after the introduction of its second generation, the refreshed model stands out with a more aggressive exterior design, a thoroughly revamped cabin architecture, and improved hybrid powertrains.
Sporty Exterior Design and Increased Dimensions
The first striking detail in the vehicle's exterior design is the aggressive front headlights, which feature a new LED lighting signature. These headlights integrate seamlessly with Lexus's iconic front grille and triangular bumper air intakes. While the profile maintains its familiar form, new wheel designs and the replacement of chrome details with black accents give the vehicle a fresher look.
At the rear, new L-motif taillight graphics are located alongside the illuminated logo. The F Sport trim package comes standard with piano black exterior accents, subtle aerodynamic updates, red brake calipers, and 20-inch wheels. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle's wheelbase remains at 2,690 mm, while its overall length has increased by 30 mm to 4,690 mm.
Tablet-Style New Multimedia System
Inside, the cockpit architecture has been completely revamped, drawing inspiration from the brand's new ES sedan model. At the center of the cabin is a 14-inch freestanding multimedia display running the latest Lexus Connect software. This screen is accompanied by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a simplified center console, and physical controls with haptic feedback that seemingly "disappear" into the dashboard trim when not in use. Furthermore, higher trims feature the Lexus Sensory Concierge system, which synchronizes ambient lighting, screen themes, climate control, and seat heating.
100 km Electric Range
Under the hood, the suspension and steering systems of the TNGA-K platform have been recalibrated. Both standard hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions have transitioned to Lexus's 6th-generation hybrid technology. A weight saving of 10 kg was achieved by integrating the power control unit and axle system.
- NX 450h+ (PHEV): The flagship version offers 288-322 hp depending on the region and has increased its battery capacity from 18 kWh to 23 kWh. According to WLTP standards, the vehicle provides an electric-only range of 100 km and features DC fast charging support for the first time.
- NX 350h: Offers 188-241 hp with a 2.5-liter gasoline engine and eAxle architecture. A 2.0-liter 194 HP NX 300h option will also be available in some markets.
Deliveries of the facelifted Lexus NX are expected to begin towards the end of the year, with sales in the European market planned to start in spring 2027.
