Apple's next Apple TV 4K model may come with a much newer processor than previous rumors indicated. This will provide the device with the necessary power for Apple Intelligence and future Siri features. Earlier reports pointed to the A17 Pro, but code found in the tvOS 27 beta suggests that Apple is currently testing hardware based on the A19 generation.
Coming with an A19 Pro processor
The 2022 Apple TV 4K comes with the Apple A15 Bionic chip and 4 GB of RAM. This model uses a trimmed ARM chip with only five processor cores instead of six. Therefore, there is a possibility that the Apple A19 (Pro) chip in the new model could also be a trimmed version. If Apple opts for the Apple A19 Pro, the next-generation Apple TV 4K will almost double its processor performance and more than double its graphics performance.
Siri AI, Apple Intelligence, WiFi 7, new remote
The primary purpose of the faster chip is to enable the use of the new Siri AI on Apple TV. A redesigned remote control and the Apple N1 chip offering Wi-Fi 7 support are among the other significant innovations. The transition to a more modern processor and higher RAM will also lead to an increase in Apple TV's price. The price of Apple TV 4K significantly increased in June; the 128 GB storage model rose from 10,499 TL to 16,499 TL.
To be introduced soon
Apple will hold a special event today called "Surprise and Shine" (Sparkling. Surprising. Exciting.). While the event is expected to focus primarily on new iPhone and Apple Watch models, Apple also has a growing range of other hardware, including Apple TV, awaiting updates.
