630 km Range, 9-Minute Charge: The All-New BYD Atto 3 Takes the Stage

The BYD Atto 3 has been refreshed. The model, which comes with a 630 km range, 326 HP power, LiDAR-assisted driving, and 9-minute fast charging, aims to reverse the decline in sales.

BYD unveiled the completely revamped Atto 3 model at the Beijing Auto Show 2026. Known as the BYD Yuan Plus in China, the third generation of the model arrives with more powerful performance, advanced technology, and increased range values.

New BYD Atto 3 Design and Features

BYD positions the new Atto 3 as its third generation, aiming to regain sales momentum with the model. The company had recently sold only 10,675 units of this compact SUV in China, a figure representing a 73.2% year-on-year decrease.

In terms of design, the model adopts the brand's new "Loong Face" (Dragon Face) design language. It offers a modern look with sharper headlights, chrome accents, and semi-hidden door handles.

The new Atto 3 has grown in dimensions. The model measures 4,665 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height. Offering a 2,770 mm wheelbase, the vehicle is 210 mm longer, 20 mm wider, and 60 mm taller than its predecessor. The wheelbase has also been increased by 50 mm. The vehicle offers two different wheel options: 18 and 19 inches.

Plenty of Equipment, Including a Mini-Fridge

Inside, technology and comfort take center stage. Features such as a 101-liter front trunk, a 16-speaker sound system, a heated built-in mini-fridge, and an electric tailgate are noteworthy. Additionally, there's a large multimedia screen, a digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, and a gear selector positioned behind the steering wheel. The center console also includes a dual wireless charging pad.

The new Atto 3 comes with the LiDAR-supported DiPilot 300 driving assistance system. Furthermore, a continuously damping suspension system and BYD's fast-charging technology are also featured in the model.
