The new Mercedes-Benz EQS hides ambitious features under its familiar design, such as an all-new platform, 800V architecture, 350 kW DC fast charging, and a driving range of up to 926 kilometers.
Mercedes-Benz has updated its electric flagship sedan, the Mercedes-Benz EQS, for the 2027 model year. The new model stands out with a larger battery, a refreshed front design, and an 800V electrical architecture.
According to the brand, more than 25% of the vehicle has been completely newly developed or significantly updated. In this context, the battery capacity in the EQS 450+ and higher versions has been increased from 118 kWh to 122 kWh, while a two-speed transmission and new in-house developed electric motors have been added to the rear axle.
Mercedes-Benz states that the EQS 450+ version offers a range of approximately 926 km according to WLTP measurements. This represents a 13% increase compared to its predecessor. Furthermore, the 350 kW DC fast charging support, enabled by the 800V electrical architecture, allows for a range gain of up to 320 kilometers with just 10 minutes of charging.

In terms of design, the EQS comes with a new front fascia and improved lighting details. The standard version features a black grille with an illuminated star pattern and wide chrome strips; the AMG Line package includes a chrome-free, specially illuminated star grille and an illuminated Mercedes-Benz logo in the center.
The Digital Light system, offered as standard in the new Mercedes-Benz EQS, consumes up to 50% less energy than before while creating a 40% wider and higher-resolution illumination area. The ULTRA RANGE high beams can provide illumination for up to 600 meters.
Inside, the brand's massive MBUX Hyperscreen system continues to be offered as standard. The vehicle also features innovative equipment such as steer-by-wire technology, which works with a yoke-style steering wheel, and heated seatbelts.
The new product range will include EQS 400, EQS 450+, EQS 500 4Matic, and EQS 580 4Matic versions. Prices start from 94,403 euros with the new entry-level version.
