No Law, which has piqued curiosity with its resemblance to Cyberpunk 2077, has further excited players with its new gameplay trailer. The new game from the studio behind The Ascent is set to release in 2027.
Gamescom, one of the year's biggest gaming events, kicked off last night with its opening ceremony. The exciting opening night featured many reveals, including No Law, which has generated buzz with its cyberpunk world reminiscent of Cyberpunk 2077. The first gameplay trailer shared at Gamescom suggests that the game might be an even bigger production than initially thought.
No Law was developed by Neon Giant, the studio that made a name for itself with The Ascent. The Ascent is already a critically acclaimed game, but it seems the studio aims to raise the bar even higher with this new title.
No Law Will Be a Much Bigger Game Than The Ascent
As you may recall, The Ascent was an isometric cyberpunk game. With No Law, the studio is making a significant change, offering a futuristic world experienced from the main character's perspective (FPS). Both the tech demo shown at State of Unreal in June and this new gameplay trailer indicate that this world will be extremely vibrant and detailed.
The gameplay trailer can be viewed below:
- The game will feature a dynamic day-night cycle.
- NPCs' general attitude towards us will change based on the decisions we make in the game.
- The number of NPCs we encounter will vary depending on details such as weather, time of day, or the region we are in.
- The impact of our decisions can alter the atmosphere of the city where the game takes place.
- There will be no invisible walls or loading screens in the game.
- Metahuman technology will increase character diversity.
No Law is set to release in 2027. However, a more precise release date has not yet been shared.
